VIOLATIONS
Discipline may be imposed for violations of library rules and regulations. All offenses are referred to the Discipline Committee for appropriate punishment.
- Major Offenses
- Stealing, theft, and tampering with library property.
- Intentional marking, mutilation, or defacing of a book or library material.
- Minor Offenses
- Excessive noise, boisterous laughter, screaming, loud conversations in the library, and failure to heed warning bells
- Sleeping and eating in the library.
- Policy on books discovered in a student's possession when inspected at the Exit Control
- A written report is prepared by both the student and the Librarian to be submitted to the Office of the Student Affairs.
- If the Librarian discovers that a student has unintentionally taken out a book, the student receives his first warning. If the same offense is committed again, the Librarian must notify the DC.
- If the Librarian determines that the incident has a probable cause and that further investigation is required, he or she may refer the incident to the DC Office.
